Report and presentations (in English)
Innovation through public procurement is much needed. It helps public authorities to tackle local or national challenges and improve their efficiency. It stimulates green growth and provides jobs. It supports SMEs and working with local suppliers, thereby making regions more competitive. For this public procurers and project managers need to engage with the private sector at an early stage, to define their needs in a functional way.
The meeting is organized by PIANOo, the Dutch Public Procurement Expertise Centre, in cooperation with Consip S.p.A.
Key speakers confirmed for this meeting are: Marco Sparro (Italian public procurement agency Consip), Gaynor Whyles (Consultant FCP Programme Manager, UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills), Ben Spiering (Manager Corporate Innovation, Rijkswaterstaat), Stefan Wurm (Federal Procurement Agency Austria), Simon Clement (ICLEI), Henk Wijnen (PIANOo), Mark Hidson (ICLEI), and André Roos (Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation).
In interactive sessions you will learn from the practical experiences of others and actively engage in coming up with solutions that will work for you. This will not be a sit back-and-listen kind of meeting!
